About the championships

About the Malta Skills Championships

The Malta Skills Championships are Malta’s national skills competitions, organised under the WorldSkills Malta initiative through collaboration between the National Skills Council (NSC), MCAST and the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS), with support from industry stakeholders.

The Championships serve as a national platform for young people to demonstrate their technical and vocational abilities, challenge themselves and pursue excellence in their chosen fields. By showcasing a diverse range of vocational skills and occupations, the initiative aims to raise awareness of vocational careers, celebrate the value of vocational education and training (VET), and strengthen connections between education, training and industry. Beyond the national competition, the Championships will serve as the national selection pathway for identifying and preparing competitors to represent Malta at EuroSkills, connecting national skills development with the wider European skills movement.
